Μετά το Gallery Trophy και το glorious days o Νίκος Παπαδημητρίου επιστρέφει στην Αθήνα με την νέα του ατομική έκθεση Little man στην γκαλερί Elika.

Following Gallery Trophy and glorious days Nikos Papadimitriou returns to Athens with his new solo exhibition Little Man at Elika Gallery.

The exhibition owes its title to the synthesis of the two code names of the atomic bombs that were dropped on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki towards the end of WWII, "Little boy" (Hiroshima, 6th of August 1945) and "Fat man" (Nagasaki, 9th of August 1945).

In the exhibition, Papadimitriou presents a series of drawings, paintings and sculptures that are the result of the use of a range of different materials and techniques. In the last few years, competitive human nature has been at the centre of his research. Papadimitriou explores man's need for domination, his anguish of prevalence over his fellow man either as an individual unit or a group, as well as its different expressions and pronouncements.

Nikos Papadimitriou was born on the island of Chios, Greece. He studied painting and engraving at the Athens School of Fine Arts and Visual Communication at the University of Kent from which he graduated with a masters degree in 2000 . He has had thirteen solo shows to date and he has participated in numerous group exhibitions including the Biennials of Athens, Prague, Istanbul, Tel Aviv and Sarajevo. In 2008 he co-founded alongside a group of visual artists the non-profit platform "Lo and Behold". He lives and works in Athens.
